I’ve fallen head over heels for only one show and that is F.R.I.E.N.D.S. I have binged a bunch of sitcoms and other TV shows. But, this genre-defining masterpiece is my ultimate favorite. This story of six friends is what I rely on when I’m feeling blue. In fact, I’m on a laugh riot every time I watch it. Every now and then, I would chuckle reminiscing various scenes. The peculiarity of the show is that none of the episodes are dull with all the leads having distinct yet equally important roles to play. Along with a good laugh, it has taught me to enjoy life with good relationships.
I remember a friend of mine suggested me to watch the show. Prior to watching it, I’d been a fan of another famous show called Big Bang Theory. I knew about FRIENDS for years as I’d seen its posters on the web. But, couldn’t convince me to watch this 90s show due to the fact that it was old. I wasn’t sure whether I would connect to the characters and jokes. Still, I had to give it a try as it was “The Sitcom” that took over the world.
In the pilot episode, “The One Where It All Began”, we are introduced to all six friends and it sets a foundation for their stories to be unfurled. From this episode, I particularly loved the scene where Ross greets Rachel and opens an umbrella on her. However, my favorite episode of this season is The One With The Blackout, in which Chandler is trapped in a vestibule with a model and as he deals with it, he treats the audience with a laugh-treat.
Yeah, I get that it might seem like a tiresome thing to go through a relic of the past. But, trust me its a gem.
