Plain Paper

In life too short n’ world too fake, I’ll be fair
With nothing to lose nor gain, I’ll be rare

When I present my candor, would you trust n’ care?
Or succumb to the insecurities you bear

I do dare with nothing to spare, I swear
I’ll be blunt with too many thoughts to share

My words might not be deep like Cobain
But on the sheet so plain, feelings rain

I’ve my share of sadness n’ anger to blow
But I’m self-conscious n’ sensitive to not show

I learn and mature as I grow
Through these words, I let my wisdom flow

You’ll always reap what you sow.
Don’t fret, there’ll be rain before the rainbow
